Transportation Systems Design, Inc.'s responsibilities for this project included: performing the design engineering, drainage design, surveying and coordination with the Georgia DOT Bridge Design and Roadway Design Offices. The project consisted of widening an existing 2-lane roadway to a 4- lane divided roadway. TSD also improved the grades and alignment of this 7-mile stretch of roadway to meet GDOT standards as part of the Governor's Road Improvement Program (GRIP). TSD performed all drainage studies, coordinated with all appropriate utilities, and performed project management services while GDOT was designing the bridge widening in-house. In addition TSD, prepared the exhibits and participated in the Public Hearing, performed the GPS control, courthouse research, database survey, property owner notification, Right-of-Way resolution and staking, participated in all of the Field plan Reviews and prepared the Conceptual, Preliminary, Right-of-Way and Final Construction Plans.

 

Deliverables included: CEAL and MicroStation Electronic Files as well as reproducibles of the design drawings.
