Transportation Systems Design, Inc.'s personnel were responsible
for performing the design, engineering, drainage design and surveying
for this 2- mile long project. The Right-of-Way plans
TSD prepared became the prototype for the County's PR program .
The project consisted of designing a 2 lane paved roadway to
replace an existing dirt road. Fulton County required compliance
with AASHTO design standards. In order to achieve this we had
to realign some of the horizontal curves and most of the vertical
grades. These improvements were designed with consideration for
the existing right of ways and properties. We also performed
the drainage design, coordinated with the County's Development
Services Office during the permitting process, worked with the
County's Arborist to save significant trees, created the displays
for and participated in the Public Hearing, performed the GPS
control, courthouse research, property owner notification, database
survey, Right-of-Way staking and participated in all of the Field
Plan Reviews.
Deliverables included Conceptual, Preliminary, Right-of-Way
and Final Construction Plans.
