Transportation Systems Design, Inc.'s responsibilities on this
project included: performing the design; engineering; drainage;
surveying; and coordination with Cobb County , and with consulting
engineers on adjacent projects. Three different design projects
merged together and formed this project. In addition, four different
firms surveyed the area before TSD began working on the project.
TSD coordinated between the four different design firms and connected
the 4 databases into one continuous mapping. This project was
performed in two units. In the first unit, TSD designed one mile
of roadway at a new location to GDOT standards, designed the
widening of Frey Road, performed all drainage studies, coordinated
with all appropriate utilities on the design, performed the GPS
control, courthouse research, database survey, and Right-of-Way
staking. TSD performed project management services supervising
the design team, which included environmental, traffic, geotechnical
and structural subconsultants. In addition TSD prepared the Conceptual,
Preliminary, Right-of-Way and Final Construction Plans.
The major features of the second unit was comprised of the widening
of 1 mile of Shiloh Road and the design of a parallel bridge
over I-75. For this unit our responsibilities included: the Conceptual,
Preliminary and Right-of-Way plans, land surveying, project management
of our structural, geotechnical and traffic subconsultants and
coordination with the County DOT staff and utilities.

Deliverables included CAiCE and MicroStation electronic files,
conforming to GDOT standards and reproducibles of design drawings.
