As a Landscape Architect, Ms. Southerland is involved in the development of projects ranging in size from one acre to over one thousand acres. Her activities include developing site analysis plans; large and small scale master plans; program development and design for large and small scale commercial and recreational facilities; design of single family and multifamily residential communities; the preparation of variance plans, rezoning plans, construction plans, cost estimates, downtown development, planting plans, and preliminary and final plats reviews.

Ms. Southerland brings a broad management and planning background to her TSD assignments. As the Head of the Landscape Architectural Department for 7 years at another firm, Ms. Southerland prepared proposals and contracts and coordinated and managed a variety of large and small scale projects, including both interdisciplinary and single department projects. This work included involvement in all aspects of project development from initial concept planning and site selection through design and construction.
